“These are really thick but you can still move really good in them and they work great especially if you skate Vert, or Bowl”
Pro-Pant with Tail Shield - 2500
“My first day wearing the Pro-Pant on my skis was Oct 13th 2011 (Opening Day at A-basin). The snow was hard and my skiing was sketchy but the Pro-Pant took my hip-checks with ease. I probably felt on shear ice 10 times throughout the course of the day and I have no bruises to show for them. Thanks Crash-Pads I'll never ski without these things again.

Pro-Pant with Tail Shield - 2500
“I was out at Copper for preseason snowboard camp. The 1st day, I was at Woodward Barn when I took a hard fall, REALLY hurting my tailbone. I had 2 weeks of intense riding ahead of me. I put the pro-pant 2500 on for the 1st time. It did an amazing job of protecting my very sore tailbone while allowing me to shred with confidence for 2 weeks. There is no way I could have done it without these pads! I've worn them ever since and will wear them every day I'm on the mountain. Julia Marino, 14”
Hockey Short
“After suffering a broken tailbone I was benched from my Adult hockey team for about a year. First game out after my return to hockey and guess what? Yep - fell and bruised my tailbone. Back to the bench for 3 weeks... while I was out I started looking for a solution to better protect my tailbone. A friend (snowboarder) told me of Crash Pads and I looked into them. The pads designed for hockey seemed to nicely compliment my built-in pads in my current hockey pants (Easton Stealth S19).
After a quick call and nice conversation with the folks at Crash Pads I decided to order a pair. A few days later they arrived and was immediately impressed wit the clean workmanship, type and placement of padding and overall functionality of the pants.
I immediately tried them on (with a pair of compression pants/jock and cup) with my hockey pants. Was a slightly tight fit but thankfully I was on a weight loss trend and were anticipating them fitting better in a couple of weeks.
Luckily they fit perfectly after my ~40 pound weight loss and I wear them at every outing under my Easton pants. Because the padding is relatively thin and placed mostly where traditional hockey pants padding isn't, the fit is very nice.
There is a place to add in a cup (?) within the pants with a built-in jock type arrangement but I chose to use my existing compression shorts/jock as my set-up is much more comfortable for me (plus I'm not a big fan of the strapped jocks).
First outing with my new set-up was great! Had a little fall and the pads worked wonderfully well in concert with my pants. I won't ever play again without my Crash Pads.
I am rating 4.5 stars - would be 5 stars if there was integration of Velcro strips at the front and rear (center of thigh and center of hamstring) to hold-up hockey socks; would also get another 1/2 star for either a more functional built-in jock area or just eliminating it all together.”
