Fit instructions

Crash Pads should be worn snug not loose. If loose, the pads will shift and not provide the intended protection. All waist measurements should be taken at the actual belly button. Men should use their actual measurement not their pant size. if you are in-between two sizes in general it is a good idea to size down not up. If your pads shift they are too big. Also the waistband should be worn on the actual waist not the hip. If you prefer a hip fit, place the pads in the correct place and then roll the elastic over. Do not wear pads low in-order to have the waist band at the hip.

General Technical Differences between outer and underwear.

Padded products that are defined as underwear do not have abrasion resistant fabric on the pads and are not to be worn in a manner where the pads will meet the environment. Pads labeled outerwear or are bonded with abrasion resistant fabric are designed to take the abuse of pavement dirt and rocks. These products are more versatile in that they can be worn either as an outer-garment or an undergarment. They are in general more durable.
